Sixty per cent of the candidates who sat the GCE(AL) 2011 have passed the exam,Examination Chief,Anura Edirisinghe announced today.
Addressing the media in Colombo,Edirisinghe said 142,000 have passed all three subjects while 23,233 candidates failed.
A total of 239,624 candidates had sat the examination held in August this year.
